Rispetto al plexiglas è un materiale molto più elastico, antiurto, ma senza certificazione alimentare.

È disponibile anche con protezione dai raggi uv, e viene utilizzato sopratutto nel settore industriale.

It is more elastic than Plexiglas, it is shock absorbent, but it does not have food certification. It is available with UV protection and it is common in industrial sector.  Solid Polycarbonates available: transparent from 1 to 15 mm thick, white opal in 3 and 5 mm, smoky grey in 3-5-6 mm, smoked bronze 3-5-6 mm and alveolar in 6-10-12 mm.
